Hogan Lovells has acquired the services of a finance partner in Singapore from rival law firm Norton Rose.

Hogan Lovells has appointed banking lawyer Matthew Leigh as a finance partner in Singapore from rival firm Norton Rose Fulbright, the company said in a media release.

Leigh, who was a senior associate at Norton Rose’s asset finance practice in Singapore, acts for banks, financial institutions, lessors and borrowers in a wide range of jurisdictions.

Prior to joining Norton Rose, he had a five-year stint as an associate at Watson, Farley & Williams in London.

«In order to grow our presence in this competitive market we need to bring the right people on board, and Matt has the experience and qualities our clients look for. His focus on asset financing will be an important addition to our client offering, particularly with regards to the growing regional demand for aircraft finance,» said Alexander McMyn, Finance Partner at Hogan Lovells Singapore office.
