Law firm Dechert appointed a Pan-Asian merger and acquisitions specialist to its team in Singapore.
Siew Kam Boon joins Dechert’s Corporate Practice in Singapore with immediate effect the company announced on its website.
Boon was previously a partner at K&L Gates focusing on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and emerging growth and venture capital and also worked for White & Case and Allen & Gledhill both in Singapore.
She is recommended as a foreign expert based in Singapore for corporate and M&A in Chambers Global and Chambers Asia 2017 and has been recognized by these publications for six consecutive years.
Skills in Demand
With a significant background in cross-border transactions, and on private equity and emerging growth with an emphasis on Pan-Asian matters, Boon focuses her work on mergers and acquisitions.
In addition to private equity funds, she has extensive experience working with venture capital funds, sovereign wealth funds and corporate clients across multiple industries.
Landmark Transactions
Dechert's corporate team worked on a number of landmark transactions throughout Asia in recent months, including advising Lazada, the largest e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia, on the sale of a controlling stake in the company to Alibaba for $1 billion.
