A scandal brokered Sandra Lienhart's path to the top of Bank Cler (previously Bank Coop). Her predecessor, Hans Ackermann, left suddenly after falling out with his board shortly after a relaunch. Lienhart had already run the bank once before – temporarily, in 2014. Her biggest worries will be to roll out the digital strategy detailed by Bank Cler's parent, Basler Kantonalbank. If she succeeds, Lienhart could be in the running for her boss' job, 56-year-old BKB Chief Executive Guy Lachapelle.
