HSBC Private Banking appointed a new global head of private wealth solutions. The banker is returning to the company he used to work for before joining the venture capital industry in Sydney.
Alan Beattie will take charge of private wealth solutions globally at HSBC Private Banking, starting January 22, 2018. The move is subject to regulatory approval. Beattie will be based in Hong Kong and report to Peter Boyles, CEO of HSBC Private Banking, the firm said in a press release.
Beattie most recently worked in the venture capital industry in Sydney as chief funding adviser at Capital Pitch. He previously held several senior roles at HSBC over a 25-year-period including regional head of commercial banking, HSBC Latin America and deputy chief executive officer, HSBC Europe.
