Standard Chartered has named a group head of retail banking, a newly created position at the bank.
Standard Chartered promoted Vishu Ramachandran as group head retail banking covering customers in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, the bank said in a statement on Tuesday.
In the new Singapore-based position Ramachandran will report to Ben Hung, chief executive officer of retail banking and wealth management and regional CEO of Standard Chartered, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. He will take up the role on July 16, 2018.
Prior to the new appointment Ramachandran held various senior posts at Standard Chartered including chief financial officer, chief credit officer and chief operating officer of the retail bank. He has been the global chief risk officer for retail banking since 2015.
