Citi in Hong Kong nets an operations heavyweight from HSBC to oversee the Hong Kong and Macau units.
Sally Lam was named as a chief operating officer for Hong Kong and Macau, according to a statement, reporting to Angel Ng, chief executive for the two markets.
Lam was most recently with HSBC where she spent 13 years in various senior roles including CO for APAC compliance and COO for APAC global banking. Previously, she also worked with the likes of ABN AMRO and Dresdner Kleinwort.
«[Lam’s] track record and extensive experience in business management, risk and compliance make her an important addition to the Hong Kong leadership team,» Ng said. «She will play a leading role in the governance of the Citi Hong Kong franchise to ensure the continued safety and soundness of our operations, and strengthening our risk and control environment.»
