UBP has hired a former BNP Paribas executive to lead its structured products unit in Asia.
Karrie Fung joined UBP earlier this month as a managing director and head of structured products Asia, according to a statement, reporting to Asia head of sales & client trading Roger Meier.
Fung will be based in Hong Kong until the end of August before relocating to Singapore. In her new role, she will assist the bank’s wealth management and investment services arm in creating structured product solutions for clients in Asia.
Prior to her new role, Fung worked at BNP Paribas for eight years where she covered private banks as a solutions provider. Previously, she also worked at Fortis Bank and J.P. Morgan where she covered private banks in Hong Kong and Singapore from within the equity derivatives team.
