US insurer Chubb has hired the former Singapore chief executive of Sunlife as the president of its life insurance unit in Hong Kong.
Chubb Life appoints Belinda Au as Hong Kong president, according to a statement, subject to regulatory approval. In her new role, she will be responsible for the Hong Kong life insurance business as well as the integration of the long term insurance business acquired from US health and insurance firm Cigna in July.
In due course, Chubb Life will also announce broader responsibilities for Au in the North Asia region.
Au reports Chubb Group senior vice president and Chubb Life president Bryce Johns.
Au has more than 30 years of insurance experience, most recently as the Singapore CEO of Sun Life. Previously, she also held senior leadership roles in distribution and marketing at AIA and Manulife.
