Fidelity International announced a new director to lead and expand its Australian wholesale sales team.
Based in Sydney, Andrew Mathie Joins Fidelity International as director of Wholesale Sales, Australia the investment manager said in a press release.
Mathie, a 20 year veteran in the asset management industry, most recently held the position of senior key account manager at Vanguard Investments Australia, where he was responsible for managing a portfolio of major Banking and Wealth clients across multiple segments.
Prior to that he was the division director for the Banking and Financial Services group at Macquarie.
Reporting Line
In the new role Mathie will focus on providing services to the financial advisers, boutique and National Dealer Groups and have control of the overall strategy for the Wholesale sales team.
He will also work directly with Alva Devoy, managing director of Fidelity Australia.
Chinese First
Earlier this year Fidelity International’s foreign-owned private fund management company in Shanghai unveiled its first private fund in China.
The fund primarily invests in Chinese onshore bond markets with an objective to achieve income and capital appreciation. The Fund is available to eligible Chinese institutional and high-net worth investors.
