Citi announced it has hired a new head of technology for the Asia-Pacific and Europe, Middle East and Africa regions of its Global Consumer Bank.
Jayne Opperman joins the U.S. bank from Australian bank Westpac where she was the general manager of business integration. In her new role Opperman will be based in Singapore and report to Gavin Michael, head of technology at Citi’s Global Consumer Bank, the bank said in a press release.
Before her Westpac position she was Australia chief information officer at ANZ Bank and chief information officer of retail banking at Lloyds Banking Group. She led the retail technology integration during Lloyds’ acquisition of the British bank Halifax.
