The recently-merged Aberdeen Standard Investments poached an asset management veteran to head up distribution in Asia Pacific.
U.K. based global asset manager Aberdeen Standard Investments named Andrew Hendry head of distribution for Asia-Pacific. Based in Singapore, Hendry will be responsible for driving the distribution strategy and business growth across the region.
Hendry was poached from Westoun Advisors, where he advised asset managers on strategic expansion, global distribution and capital raising. Before that he was managing director at M&G Investments Asia, where he launched the company’s Asia business.
He will report to Campbell Fleming, global head of distribution, and Hugh Young, head of Asia Pacific. Aberdeen Standard, which manages $30.7 billion for clients located in the region, clinched registration as a private securities investment fund manager in China .
