Crypto financial services provider Bitcoin Suisse is strengthening its management with a long-standing Credit Suisse banker in Europe.
Bitcoin Suisse is hiring Lothar Cerjak as its head of initial coin offerings, or ICOs, and will be responsible for driving growth in the crypto-asset business, the firm said in a statement on Tuesday.
Cerjak will be tasked with boosting the attraction of crypto assets for institutional investors and banks. The latter have in particular have been reluctant investors in the past given the potential for contravening money laundering regulations.
Winning Institutional Clients
Initial coin offerings represent a key element in Bitcoin Suisse’s overall business strategy, according to Chief Executive Arthur Vayloyan. «Cerjak’s expertise will be crucial for us to open up and conquer the institutional market with our initial coin offering», he said.
During his 25 years at Credit Suisse, Cerjak rose to managing director and held a number of executive positions in the bank’s trading business. Previously he worked as a trader at Graubuendner Kantonalbank, Bank Vontobel and Marc Rich Holding.
