The specialist insurance provider and Lloyds of London coverholder adds an industry veteran to its advisory board.
Experienced insurance executive Kent Chaplin is joining the advisory board of Delta Insurance, the firm said in a statement on Tuesday.
Chaplin brings 25 years of industry experience, and will provide strategic planning, business development and governance support for Delta Insurance Group with respect to its New Zealand and Asia-Pacific operations, the statement said.
Chaplin is no stranger to the industry and the region – he was formerly the CEO and head of Asia Pacific for Lloyd's, and worked for the insurer in Singapore from 2011 to 2018. In 2019, Chaplin joined U.S.-headquartered company DXC Technology as its global head of reinsurance and specialty sales in Singapore.
He previously sat on Singapore’s International Maritime Centre 2030 Advisory Committee and was a board member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Financial Centre Advisory Panel.
Growth Plans
Delta Insurance, which started operations in 2017, is a locally owned, innovation and technology-driven insurtech specializing in cyber, technology and professional risk protection, with Lloyd’s underwriting backing.
According to Group managing director Ian Pollard, The firm aims to become a significant commercial specialty insurance player in the region in the next five years.
