He brings 15 years of experience in the finance industry, and will work closely with the management team overseeing the Greater China market.
Raffles Family Office has appointed Edward Sit as executive director and head of Greater China corporate development, the firm announced in a statement on Tuesday.
He joins from Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX), where he was vice president responsible for the bourse’s global client development function. He previously held roles at the commodities desks of ABN Amro and BNP Paribas.
In his new role, Sit will focus on executing the firm's corporate strategy in China, including areas such as business partnerships and client development. He reports to Chiman Kwan, founder and CEO of RFO.
Asia Ambitions
Founded in Hong Kong in 2016, Raffles Family Office currently has a 72-strong team across Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei and Shanghai.
The firm has made a number of senior hires in recent months as it sets its sights on regional expansion. To support its Greater China ambitions, it hired wealth management veteran Stella Kong in May as managing director to lead its business expansion in the region.
«Greater China is an integral part of RFO’s growth strategy,» Kwan said, noting that Sit's hands-on experience in delivering corporate growth will be «instrumental in taking RFO’s business to the next level.»
