The new man at the helm brings over 25 years’ experience in financial services with significant leadership roles in the Australian asset management industry.
British multinational asset management firm Schroders has hired Sam Hallinan as CEO, Australia, the company announced in a statement on Wednesday.
Hallinan, who will begin in his new role in April, will report to Chris Durack, co-CEO APAC. Durack will continue to have oversight of the Australian business as part of his regional responsibilities and remain a director of Schroders Australia, the statement said.
Hallinan joins from Nikko Asset Management, where he has been managing director of its Australian business since 2015.
Growing Business
Schroders said the appointment provides a dedicated, focused oversight of its Australian business as the firm invests in strengthening existing capabilities in Australian equities, multi-asset, fixed income and global equities, while extending its capabilities including the local build-out of its private debt team and tailored client solutions.
