He will be responsible for LCH’s business in Asia Pacific, including the clearing house’s sales and operations in Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo. 

British clearing house group LCH has appointed Rohit Verma as head of Asia Pacific, effective 26 July, it announced in a a statement on Thursday. 

Verma brings 20 years’ experience in derivatives and risk management, joining from Citi, which he joined in 2012, and most recently was APAC head of OTC clearing and FX prime brokerage, APAC. He previously held various risk management roles at Deutsche Bank, Landesbank-Baden Württemberg and Credit Suisse, after beginning his career at Siemens in India.

Based in Singapore, Verma will report to Isabelle Girolami, LCH chief executive officer. His move follows the relocation of Kate Birchall, former APAC head of sales, from Sydney to London earlier this year to take up the role of head of sales.
