Credit Suisse's new head of asset management, Ulrich Körner, has hired another trusted lieutenant.
David Kruck was appointed Chief of Staff in the Asset Management division of Credit Suisse, effective at the start of August, research by finews.com shows. A spokesperson confirmed the information, saying that Kruck would report directly to the division's new head, Ulrich Körner.
Kruck was previously at UBS where he was chief of staff for the president of the Asset Management business and group executive board sponsor for sustainability and impact.
Koerner was also previously employed at UBS.
Previous to his current position at UBS, Kruck worked in wealth management and was one of the project heads responsible for creating the pan-European UBS Europe SE unit. He started his career at E&Y in the area of transaction advisory services and has a masters degree from ESCP Europe.
Head of Strategy
Henning Wechsung, the current interim chief of staff, was appointed divisional head of strategy for asset management, also effective August 1. He will report to Markus Rütimann, chief operating officer in asset management. Wechsung joined the Swiss and Europe, Middle East and Africa region of the asset management business in 2018.
Before he joined Credit Suisse, he worked as a principal at Oliver Wyman. He is a graduate of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
Körner only announced the appointment of Rütimann last week.
