J.P. Morgan has added data science responsibilities to its existing Asia Pacific head of equity trading in a newly created role.
Lee Bray has been named APAC head of data science, according to a statement, alongside his existing role as APAC head of equity trading based in Hong Kong.
Bray’s expanded responsibilities will include building a data science team in the region to strengthen J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s platform and capabilities across machine learning, artificial intelligence and natural language processing.
Bray has been with J.P. Morgan for more than 20 years with extensive experience in quant-based trading, particularly through the usage of machine learning and large-scale data processing.
