Contineo the industry-backed messaging network for equity-linked structured products appointed a head of sales.
Per Nordstrom who has worked across the structured products industry from trading and syndication to sales, joins the firm in Hong Kong with a remit to drive business growth, as head of Sales, the firm said in a statement.
His former roles include head of Sales and Fixed Income Trading at SEB, and director roles at both Standard Chartered and UBS, in Hong Kong and Singapore. Prior to roles in Asia Nordstrom worked with Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in London for over five years.
Contineo launched in January 2015 and has built up a strong issuer base, expanding beyond its original shareholder-dealers, Barclays, BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, J.P. Morgan and Societe Generale, and claims to be working with almost half of Asia's private banks. Although based in Hong Kong, the Contineo platform receives about 85 percent of its business from Singapore.
