Private bank Bordier is adding a limited partner. The appointee is well-known for helping to establish the Swiss wealth manager in southeast Asia.
The partners of Bordier appointed Alessandro Caldana (pictured above) as a limited partner, alongside Gaétan Bordier, Pierre Poncet and Patrice Lagnaux, the firm said in a statement.
Grégoire Bordier, Evrard Bordier and Michel Juvet are the partners – or privés – with unlimited personal liability.
The Italian-born Caldana joined Bordier as a managing director in Singapore in 2011. The 51-year-old specializes in global markets and independent asset managers, and has been handling multi-national and institutional clients for more than 15 years.
Ten Years in Singapore
After beginning his career in industry in France and Italy, Caldana in 2008 moved to Singapore, where he headed up the international desk at private bank EFG International.
He is the first limited partner that Bordier has named since last year, when it appointed Russia banker Lagnaux.
