As part of the ongoing strengthening of its equity offering Aviva Investors has appointed a specialist for Emerging Markets to its global emerging market equities team.
Aaron Armstrong joins Aviva Investors from Alquity Investment Management, where he worked as a senior analyst in the Asian investment team.
He will take up the role of portfolio manager and will report to Alistair Way, head of global emerging market equities, according to a media release on Friday.
String of Hires
The appointment is the latest in a string of hires in the equity team following the appointment of David Cumming, as chief investment officer, equities, in January from Standard Life Investments.
Aviva Investors made nine hires to its U.K., global and emerging market equities teams in July, in addition to the hiring of Susan Schmidt (pictured above) as head of U.S. equities in October.
