J.P. Morgan money management arm added three hedge fund specialists, including a Singapore banker who will look after clients in Asia-Pacific.
The U.S. bank hired Lyn Ngooi as a hedge fund solutions investment specialist for Asia-Pacific clients of its asset management arm, J.P. Morgan said in a statement. She is based in Singapore and reports to Karim Lequel, who in turn has been promoted to head of a team of international hedge fund specialists.
Ngooi was most recently with APB Asset Management and previously, a consultant with Bain & Company as well as an associate with IDFC Capital. The New York-based bank also hired Lynnette Ferguson as head of the Americas specialized hedge fund team. Ngooi's, Lequel's, and Ferguson's positions are new ones and effective immediately, the bank said.
Hedge funds are a huge business for J.P. Morgan, which advises clients on more than $17 billion in hedge fund assets. The hedge fund solutions arm is part of J.P. Morgan's $130 billion global alternatives business.
