The insurtech subsidiary of the global reinsurance firm has partnered Generali Indonesia to boost the latter's underwriting process and streamline the risk assessment process.
Munich Re Automation Solutions will provide Allfinanz Spark, its cloud-based business, digital underwriting and analytics solution, to Generali Indonesia, the Dublin-based firm announced in a statement.
The digital underwriting solution will allow Generali to streamline processes and explore new opportunities in delivering consistent risk management in the Indonesian market. The company will also be able to use the platform's business insights to understand their business performance, improve how the risk assessment questions are presented, and automate the underwriting of routine cases that currently take up underwriters’ valuable time, the announcement said.
Broader Shift
According to Munich Re, the collaboration «represents a broader shift in the Indonesian life insurance industry, catering to digital-savvy consumers who are looking for an improved digital experience when buying life insurance.»
«This collaboration is also an opportunity for our agents to shorten the sales process, encourage them to be more productive and better serve their clients,» Edy Tuhirman, Generali Indonesian chief executive, said.
