Based in Hong Kong, she will lead all coverage teams of DWS in the Asia Pacific region.

DWS, the asset manager spun off by German lender Deutsche Bank in 2018, has appointed Vanessa Wang as head of client coverage APAC, effective September 1, 2021, the firm announced on Thursday.

Wang will report to Dirk Goergen, head of DWS’s client coverage division and member of the executive board, based in Frankfurt.

Holger Naumann, who previously led the DWS' client coverage division in APAC, will continue in his role as regional head for the APAC region and take an active role with our clients and strategic partners, DWS said.

Wealth of Experience

Wang brings 20 years of experience in the field and joins the firm from Amundi, where she has worked since 2016,  concurrently holding the positions of senior managing director and head of institutional business in the U.S., and head of institutional business in North Asia.

She spent 15 years at Mercer and was partner and Asia Head of the Retirement, Risk and Finance, when she joined Citigroup as a managing director and Asia Pacific Head of Pensions
